Has blogging became limited only for loyal bloggers?

10 years back, it was a time when blogging was at it’s hype. Everyone wanted to create blog and invite others to read it. Following and commenting on blogs was fun. Now, social networks platforms are at the hype. Today, different types of new social network services are being emerged in very short time. Well, I think, in a way, that actually helped all of the true blogging communities (ignoring organisational blogs and those for marketing purpose). At least now people do not create blogs and leave them to rotten anymore with just one welcome post.

A ‘Fast Track to Blogging’ started it all

I was doing B.Com. along with another animation and multi-media course. I was very much excited about all interesting stuffs about computers. I used to visit some of internet cafes available at the time in my local town to learn more things on internet and about internet itself. But even that was limited because after coming back to home I could not learn more. And I had to wait until I could go next time.

Moving in to a new web address

I was using my web address krsh.in for quite some time. It was a little difficult for others to understand when had to spell it. They always wondered about an ‘i’ in the address. I had to confirm twice that it was not a mistake.

Anyway, it is going to be expired soon. So this time instead of renewing it, I decided to change the web address. I wanted it to be more representation of my name without any missing alphabet. And by this time the .dev domain has been available for the public. So I tried with krish.dev and also krish.in. But both have already been taken and no longer available. Now I had to come up with some “creative” name. After some thoughts and a few options, I decided to go with iamkrish.dev.

A signature can give you an idea

Recently I had to do a lot of signing. Not the digital one. Hand written signatures. And I was terrified to find about my inability to write a proper signature. Almost felt like an illiterate. I remember the time in college when we had to do lot of writing in notebooks. Teachers did read notes fast to finish them on time. We used to write fast to keep ourselves synced with them. Our hand would run like an athlete. And now, my hand get frozen while writing a signature.

My job requires me to spend most of time on computers. Writing codes by typing them on keyboards. Not on papers. Which would be a total waste. Hence, now for me, it is very difficult to write on a paper.

While putting all those signatures, had been frozen at some point. Frustrated for not able to end it properly. I needed to resolve this.

So I decided to make some time out to start writing again. And bought a new ink pen. A beautiful black Parker pen with matte coat.

I am already loving it so much. It looks so cool, that it excites me to write more. Now on, I will try to write on paper more often.

Anything… I can write anything. It would like a first draft of most of the future blog posts.

That would be a great idea. Would help to improve the handwriting and also content of posts as in second draft on computer.

All this began with an idea of resolving the inability to write a proper signature fluently.

This post was first written on paper. Which was very different than what you have read here.

So, with a hope to write more on paper and on blog, I am pausing here. For one step at time.

The Gutenberg’s way

It had been around 6 years I have been using Blogger for my blog ikrshnan.blogspot.com. A year back I bought a domain, krsh.in and linked my blog with it.

I was very interested in WordPress since the beginning of blog. But I kept using it as I found it more easy to use. But did not lose interest in WordPress. So finally I decided to switch to WordPress.

First I was planning to pay to link my domain with WordPress. After having a discussion with my long time online buddy Iftekhar from New York, I have decided to take his help to self-host WordPress in his hosting storage as in my account. He is an expert with WordPress and a very kindest guy.

And now I have completely switched to WordPress with a self-host, linked with krsh.in. Hope now on I will press more words than I used to be.
